Westerly Middle School

Where we create an inspiring, challenging, and supportive environment where students are encouraged and assisted in reaching their highest potential.

  • To our Westerly Middle School Family

Soon we will be welcoming you to the 2023-2024 School Year!

Bulldog Pride is alive and well at Westerly Middle School!  And, as we plan for another year of learning and leading, we are working to ensure that all students find success and are prepared, socially, emotionally, and academically, for any challenges ahead!

We are looking forward to a great start and excited about the opportunities this year.  Bulldogs remember to:  “Be Respectful, Be Responsible, and Be Safe”, in all actions and words, and take care of themselves, each other, and our community.   They focus on learning new things and add to our community with new ideas, solutions, and suggestions.  Bulldogs also know that coming to school every day, on time, and ready to learn, will strengthen their commitment to excellence and help them to achieve their goals.

We look forward to another year of growth, opportunity, and celebration!

    ATTENTION WESTERLY MIDDLE SCHOOL VOLUNTEERS

In order to volunteer, go on a field trip, etc. you must have a current BCI background check on file. BCIs are good only for the current school year. Please review the steps below for new and returning volunteers.

The current WPS Volunteer Process is on the WPS District website under Community/Volunteers.

NEW VOLUNTEERS: Please complete the online 3 step Volunteer Process. This is at no cost to the volunteer. All three steps must be completed in order to finalize the volunteer process.

RETURNING VOLUNTEERS: Returning volunteers need to have an updated Local (RI State) BCI (Criminal Record Release form in Volunteer Process) done every year.  If there are no personal information changes, you do not need to complete the application - only the BCI check.

Click here for the link to access the volunteer forms and directions.

Click here for the revised (November 2018) Background Check Investigation (Volunteers) Policy No. 4180.2
